Priya Have you tried the spinach parathas? - that uses small curd cottage cheese. You can try variations without spinach to make just plain soft rotis also. Word of caution - do not try to make bhurji with it!! big mistake !!
Sh i bought a small tub of cottage cheese just for making parathas, they were really taste. I still have lots cottage cheese left so wondering what to do with that.

Could you pls post the recipe of homemade granola/muesli bars.
Rgds,
Tiya.
Hiya Saffron -
Although your "mutton" curry recipe looked formidable - I tried it and it turned out really well. My mom is away and so being the elder sister - I suddenly have been assigned to the kitchen. But it looks like cooking is kinda fun. I think I am ready for something more complicated and so - do you think you can share the recipe for a nice briyani?
Much thanks.
I recently tried cauliflower pickle at a friends party. It was awesome. This was not a temporary pickle, its like avakai in that one can use it year round if stored properly. Can u maybe blog about the recipe?
Thanks,
Kiran

Hi
I just came across your blog and I must say its awesome. I am sure you have made many people's lives easier. I am going to try freezing paranthas the way you recommended. I just had a couple of queries,
1)Should I cook the paranthas completely before freezing, or should they be something like half done?
2)Also can you please tell me how I can freeze chapatis?
Thanks
Nivedita
Nivedita
You can cook the parathas completely before freezing. That's what I do and it works out fine.
You can freeze chappatis the same way. I usually stack them about 5 or 10 and wrap tightly in alum. foil. Then the day before I need them I take them out of the freezer and put them in the fridge. They thaw very well and then a few minutes in the microwave and they are piping hot and ready!
Thanks a lot. I am going to try this soon.
I really enjoyed your blog. Looking forward to reading more fun stuff (Like your "melting pot" story) and getting more tips.
Nivedita
Hey there SH,
You already know this but (you can never appreciate beauty enough) BEAUTIFUL blog. My co-worker and I, have been discussing the recipe for the best, most crumbly, melt-in-the-mouth Kesari, reminiscent to what we used to have in Madras (hmmm...somewhere along the lines of the poori-masaal post). But nothing seems to come close to the crumbliness-- any suggestions? maybe a recipe even?
Thanks so much!
Hi Saffron,
Your blog looks great. Your pictures are great!!
