Holy Jalapeño - Here we go!

Birthday "cake" made by little 'uns for Dad

The inspiration for starting a food blog :)

It was hubby dearest's birthday and the little ones wanted to bake a cake. Out came the EasyBake oven and after much measuring, mixing, stirring, splattering, crying, fussing, this scrumptious looking 2 inch "cake" was presented with pride.

The candle was no match for the beaming faces all around!

Hi i was using this blogspot for about 2 weeks and realised i was pregnant and had to give up blogging as i was getting sick thinking about food. I have a very special place for saffron hut and i am happy u are having a good time. happy blogging

Shomas I am sooo happy to hear from you!!! A few weeks after I started blogging, I saw a reference to saffronhut somewhere. I was a bit puzzled, but didn't investigate more. The thought about whether anyone was using this before has been nagging me, and I was wondering how blogger could have let me use the name if it was already in use. Did you delete your blog after you were done with it?

It was not my intent to use an existing name, and I did try to do a thorough search before I picked this.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Looks like you are feeling better now and are able to look at food and food blogs? :-)

I dont have a problem you using the name. I just stopped as i thought i wasnt doing any justice to the blog . I am just back to look at blogs and food network which was abolished for good 4 i just about manage .
Thank You for the wishes . and i do love your blog. wonderful pictures and classic recipes. i guess i wont start blogging right away ... wud love to keep in touch(

diabetic choclate cream cake
melt diabetic choclate 1000ml milk
self rasing flour
cornstach 1 teaspoon
cocoa 2 teaspoons
whipping cream
equal sugar or splenda 2 rice amount
butter 250gms and eggs 2
first melt the butter then add sugar and mix tilll becomes fluffy
pour in the self rasing flour and put in the milk and cocoa powder put inside the microwave for 50mins cook.melt the chocolate in the saucepan .then spread inthe cake
